My Portfolio

EXPERIENCE

Current Role:
Assistant Manager Technical Production Special Events
Universal Orlando

The UO Tech Production team partners with internal collaborators, artists, vendors, and external clients to bring experiences to life. Our events span from live concerts to shows and cutting-edge experiences within our parks and other venues. Our team leads the charge in planning, developing, executing, monitoring, and delivering the live technical aspects of events. We are accountable for the project's scope, budget, team coordination, communication, and resources, ensuring the successful execution of each event.

As an assistant manager, I oversee a team of six supervisors, managing their scheduling, assignments, training, and professional development. I assist in utilizing project management techniques to standardize process documentation and communication. I ensure that the full scope of all events, whether assigned to me or the team, are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Lighting Designer; Engineer; Technician; Crew Lead
Disney on Ice; Freelance; Murphy Lighting; Universal Orlando

As a lighting designer, I was responsible for bringing to life the creative vision for a variety of productions, including concerts, tours, corporate events, and shows.

In my role as a lighting engineer, I managed the technical aspects of lighting for events, ensuring that all lighting systems functioned properly. I collaborated closely with production management, artists' technical teams, and partners to implement the lighting plan for each event, from setup to breakdown. I also managed both touring and local crews.

As a lighting technician, I installed (both temporary and permanent), operated, maintained, and struck down lighting equipment for various productions, including live events, cruises, tours, and theaters.

As Crew Lead I was responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of a production, event, or performance.  I managed a team of technicians to ensure all equipment is properly set up, operated, and maintained, while coordinating with other departments to execute the technical vision of the project, often including tasks like assigning roles, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining safety standards.

Retail Leadership
Petco General Manager & Target Executive Team Lead

I was responsible for the day-to-day operations of a retail store, overseeing sales, staff, and inventory levels by managing customer service, implementing sales strategies, hiring and training employees, maintaining proper stock levels, and ensuring smooth operations to meet sales goals and profitability targets.

At Petco, I managed a staff of 12+, handling scheduling, assignments, training, and development. I achieved and maintained financial quotas through store standards, marketing strategies, merchandise logistics, and customer service.

At Target, I managed a logistics staff of 30+, overseeing scheduling, assignments, training, and development. I supervised the movement, distribution, and storage of goods from truck to sales floor, maintained store floor stock levels, and supported operational and sales goals.
